This site is published by Openquarter International Pty Ltd, registered in Australia and based in Sydney, New South Wales. Using it means accepting what follows. If you do not, please stop using it.

What this site is

It describes a professional design practice and the work it has done. It is published for information. Nothing here is advice — not design advice, not accessibility, procurement, security or legal advice — and nothing on it should be relied on as a substitute for engaging someone to look at your actual situation.

Sending the contact form, or an email, does not create a client relationship or any obligation on either side. That begins only under a written engagement.

Accuracy

The case studies describe engagements from memory and from what is publicly known. They are written to be accurate, they name no confidential figures, and they may still contain errors or become out of date. Dates, roles and outcomes should be treated as a good-faith account rather than a certified record. If you need something verified for a procurement or hiring process, ask and I will confirm it directly.

Content and other people’s marks

The writing, the design of this site and its code are mine unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to quote from the writing with attribution and a link. Republishing a piece in full, or reusing the design or code, is not permitted without asking.

Organisations named on this site are named as a factual record of work performed. Their names and trade marks belong to them, and nothing here implies that any of them endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with this practice. Where interface screenshots appear, they are reproduced for commentary and criticism and are credited on the page they appear on. If you own one and would like it removed, email me and I will.

Links to other sites are there because they are useful. I do not control them and am not responsible for what they contain or do.

Availability and liability

The site is provided as it is. I do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and I am not liable for loss arising from using it or relying on it.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a right cannot be excluded but liability can be limited, my liability is limited to re-supplying the relevant information.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of that state have jurisdiction.

These terms may change. The date at the top is the date of the most recent version, and using the site after that means accepting it.
