Privacy

This site is operated by Openquarter International Pty Ltd ("Openquarter", "I"), a company registered in Australia and based in Sydney, New South Wales. Questions about anything on this page go to hello@openquarter.com.

The short version: the only information you volunteer is what you type into the contact form, it reaches me as an email and is not stored in a database here, and the site runs one analytics tag. There is no advertising, no profiling, no marketing list, and nothing is sold.

What the contact form collects

The form at /contact asks for five things and one optional one:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your organisation — optional, and the form works without it
• What the enquiry is about, chosen from a fixed list
• The engagement shape, chosen from a fixed list
• Your message

Submitting it sends that content to me as an email, through Resend, and the reply-to is set to your address so a reply goes straight back to you. It is not written to a database on this site. It lives in my inbox, and it is kept for as long as the enquiry is useful — typically the life of a conversation and any engagement that follows.

The form carries a hidden field that real people never see. If it is filled in, the submission is discarded without being sent. That is the only automated filtering applied.

Analytics

Two things measure use of the site, and they are unrelated to each other.

Google Analytics 4 records page views and a small, fixed set of events. It sets cookies and processes data on Google’s infrastructure. The complete list of what is reported is:

• contact_submit — the contact form was accepted, together with which of the five enquiry types was chosen
• contact_error — a submission failed, with the error status
• email_click — a mailto: link was used, with the address
• share_click — a share option was chosen on a post
• discuss_click — the "Discuss on LinkedIn" link was followed
• outbound_click — a link to another site was followed, with its host

Nothing you type is sent to Google. contact_submit reports which enquiry type you picked and nothing else — not your name, not your organisation, not your message. There is no scroll tracking, no time-on-page measurement and no session recording.

Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights measure page views and loading performance. They set no cookies and identify no individual.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to recognise a returning browser and group page views into a visit. Nothing else on this site sets a cookie, and the site stores nothing in your browser’s local storage.

You can block or clear these through your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out add-on. The site works normally either way.

What the hosting sees

The site is hosted on Vercel, which records ordinary server request logs — IP address, browser, and the page requested — as part of serving and protecting it. That happens for any website; it is noted here because it is the one collection that occurs without you doing anything.

Typefaces are served from this site rather than from Google Fonts, so visiting a page makes no request to Google for fonts. Share links are ordinary links: no LinkedIn, X or Bluesky script runs on this site, and nothing is reported to those services unless you click through.

Who else your information reaches

Three processors, all outside Australia, all handling data on servers that may be in the United States or elsewhere:

• Resend — delivers contact form emails
• Google — Google Analytics
• Vercel — hosting, request logs, and cookieless analytics

Nothing is disclosed to anyone else, sold, or used for advertising.

Access, correction and complaints

Email hello@openquarter.com to ask what I hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. I will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge for it.

If you are unhappy with how a privacy matter was handled, say so first and I will try to resolve it. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes

If the site starts collecting something it does not collect today, this page changes at the same time. The date at the top is the date of the most recent change.
